Also present during today's visit were 10 staff members and 37 preschoolers. The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. This program currently operates Monday through Friday: 9AM - 5PM.
The 4 preschool classrooms and the library were inspected for age appropriate furnishings, equipment, and adequate storage for children’s belongings. LPA observed the presence of working carbon monoxide detector (found within each classroom), smoke detectors/fire alarms and fully charged fire extinguishers that is accessible throughout the facility. There are no pools, hot tubs or other accessible bodies of water. Cleaning supplies/toxins are stored inaccessible to children during the inspection and all required postings are present. Children bring their lunch from home and facility provides AM/PM snacks. Children also bring their own water bottles from home. LPA observed the preschool play yard. Tarps and building overhang provide shade. No hazards were observed on the play yard on today's date. LPA reviewed the Director's file and Director has current CPR/First Aid certification. LPA reviewed 10 staff files and 8 children files.
