25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Ashley Lopez and Kassandra Medrano conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPAs met with Hui Shen, who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors.The school consists of 6 of classrooms. This program operates from 8:30am - 6pm Monday through Friday. This facility has a capacity of 111 children; preschool children ages 2 to first grade. Teacher-child ratio was met during the visit. All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance. All children were observed to be always under visual supervision of a teacher.
LPA observed the facility to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. The administrators building is used as an isolation area. Parents are contacted immediately when children are feeling ill.
Food menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. Some preschoolers bring their lunch from home and the facility may also provide the children with Breakfast, Lunch, and PM Snack. All food is protected from contamination, and LPA inquired about any contaminated food and that it is discarded immediately. Children bring their water bottles from home and water is provided via filtered water faucets if needed. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on and are in good repair. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are stored in a locked area that is inaccessible to children.
