25 | As per PIN 20-08-CCP that beginning March 26, 2020 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) will conduct tele-inspections as part of Community Care Licensing Division’s (CCLD) emergency response to the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
On 02/11/2021 at 10:00 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Manel Estoesta conducted an announced tele-inspection, pre-licensing visit via Zoom Virtual Video Conference. LPA met with the applicant/licensee, Neale Marquez. Present on this visit were the licensee's fingerprint cleared spouse Jeffrey Marquez, volunteer Graciella Gutiza, licensee's/applicant's son Jeffrey Owen Marquez, and eight children in care of whom two were infants, four preschool children, one transitional kindergarten and one school age child.
The applicant has submitted a Capacity Increase application from a small family childcare home license. The facility address is 959 Coventry Circle, Milpitas, CA 95035. The home was virtually toured to conduct a health and safety inspection. Applicant stated that the hours of operation will be from Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The home is a single family two story, four bedroom and 2.5 bathroom home. The applicant/licensee owns the home and a copy of deed submitted. The home is neat, clean with heating, ventilation for safety and comfort.
The On-Limit areas are the living room, half bathroom, kitchen, dining room, family room and backyard. There are no accessible hazardous cleaning chemicals the on-limit areas. The Off-Limit areas are the garage, side yards, the whole second floor which include the four bedroom and 2 bathroom. LPA reminded applicant/licensee that Off-limit areas must be inaccessible to children in care by closed and or locked doors and or a fence. LPA reminded the applicant that any structural changes to the home or additions to the childcare facility must be reported to Community Care Licensing. The applicant/licensee understood.
