25 | #2 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Marilou Monico and Dung Mac conducted an unannounced Required - 1 Year inspection. LPAs met with Site Supervisor/teacher, Crystal Ceja, and explained the purpose of today's inspection. Facility's License, Notification of Parents’ Right Poster, Child Car Seat Law, Personal Rights (LIC 613A), Emergency Disaster Plan, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist were observed to be posted. The center is open Monday through Friday from 08:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Age serve is 2.9 years to entry into kindergarten. The preschool program is licensed in Rooms 1 and 2.
LPAs toured the facility both indoor and outdoor. The classrooms, restrooms, and storage areas were inspected. LPAs observed that the facility was operating in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement. There were no bodies of water observed.
Per Site Supervisor, there were no weapons on the premises. Furniture and equipment were observed to be age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible to children. Restrooms for children to use were observed to be in operating conditions. Floors were clean.
Outdoor activity space is enclosed by fencing and is observed to be free of hazards. LPAs observed play equipment were in good condition and areas around the climbing structure have resilient material. Drinking water was readily available to children indoor and outdoor. Activities schedule and Menus were posted. Facility provides breakfast and lunch and are prepared at Luther Burbank Elementary School cafeteria.
Trash cans for solid waste had tight-fitting covers on, and were in good repair. LPAs observed working smoke detectors and functioning carbon monoxide detector.
