The infant room has two sinks and a changing table within arm's reach of a sink. The changing table has raised sides that are at least 3 inches high and a padded surface that is no less than one inch thick and covered in washable vinyl. The Director understands that a baby walker shall not be kept or used on the premises of a child day care facility. Drinking water is readily available indoor and outdoor. The Infant Center will be providing potty training. Facility will follow the states required Needs and Service Plan for each infant which is required to be updated every 3 months as well as a Feeding Plan. Appropriate seating equipment will be used to seat infants in during feedings. Infants shall be held during feedings if they are unable to sit unassisted. Propped bottles are not permitted. The lunch, morning and Afternoon snacks Menu will be posted. Food can be stored and prepared in the Kitchen. There is a sink with hot/cold running water, refrigerator and solid waste containers with tight-fitting lids. Areas designated for storage of detergents, cleaning compounds, sharps, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children are inaccessible to infants. the center has one or more carbon monoxide detectors that meets the established standards, A fully charged fire extinguisher was also observed. The center is equipped to isolate and care for any child who becomes ill during the day. The directors office will serve as the isolation area for any sick child. There is a separate staff restroom in the commend area sick children can utilize if needed.
LPA observed first-aid supplies located in a location accessible to staff but inaccessible to children
Director Sujatha Namboodiri meets Educational Qualification requirement. There is at least one staff with current certification for preventive health practices training with Lead poisoning, which included pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid certification. Director maintains documentation of immunity against Measles and Pertussis and required training. Directors' Background Check Clearance has been transferred to the Infant Center.
Director and Administer are reminded of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license, and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children. For an initial violation, civil penalty amounts to $100.00 per person up to $500.00 per person. For a subsequent violation within a 12-month period, civil penalty amounts to $100.00 per person up to $3000.00 per person.
