LPA observed that the Infant room has 1 sink and 1 changing tables. The changing table is within arm's reach of a sink. There are cribs in the napping room, napping mats available, and a potty chair was is provided for the older infants (potty training) . There are cubbies, feeding chair, tables, trash cans with tight fitted lids, and paper towel and hand soap near the sink. The facility has a kitchen equipped with a microwave, a sink with hot and cold running water, and a refrigerator as well as a microwave inside the infant room. There are separate staff restrooms Infant, who becomes ill will be isolated in the office and isolation equipment will be provided.
The Infant yard is surrounded by fence and is physically separated from the Preschool Yard. LPA observed age appropriate indoor and outdoor play equipment. There are resilient materials under outdoor climbing play structure and shades are provided by building overhangs. Facility will follow each infant’s Feeding Plan. Feeding chairs and other appropriate seating equipment will be used to seat infants during feeding. Infants shall be held during feedings if they are unable to sit unassisted. Propped bottles are not permitted. Director is advised that baby walkers shall not be kept or used on the premises of a child day care facility. Drinking water should be readily available. LPA did not observe any bodies of water during the visit.
