32 | There are 20 tables, 118 chairs, 159 cubbies, and 121 cots for the children. There are adequate equipment, supplies and toys for the children in each classroom. Drinking water will be readily available via coolers/pitchers/water fountain. Children are also encouraged to bring their own bottles.
LPAs observed that preschool playgrounds are surrounded by appropriate fencing. The playground equipment is age appropriate and artificial grass/rubbing padding is used as resilient materials. Shade is provided by canopy, tree, and building overhangs. There are adequate equipment, supplies, and toys for children outdoors. LPAs did not observe any bodies of water during today's inspection. Drinking water will be provided outdoors via pitchers/disposal cups. Transportation will not be provided by the Facility.
Barbara Graves, Applicant Representative, and Neda Ghahghahi, Site Director, have obtained a Criminal Records Clearance and Child Abuse Index Checks. Director has met the education and experience qualification requirement and has completed the training on preventive health practices, which included pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and pediatric first aid, one hour on Child Care Nutrition, and one hour on Lead Poisoning Prevention. The Director's Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certification expires 6/6/2023. The Director has proof of immunity against Measles and Pertussis, Influenza and Health Screening with Tuberculosis clearance on file. The Director's Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Provider Certification expires 4/3/2023.
LPAs reminded Site Director of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license, and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children. For an initial violation, civil penalty amounts to $100.00 per person up to $500.00 per person. For a subsequent violation within a 12-month period, civil penalty amounts to $100.00 per person up to $3000.00 per person.
