25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Cortney Nelson and Jovani Dillon, met with Site Director, Lisa Patterson, for an unannounced Required- 1 Year Inspection. LPAs were granted access to the facility by the Site Director and toured both indoors and outdoors during the inspection. Upon arrival, there were 33 children (twinkler room- 10 children, sunshine room- 10 children, & rainbow room- 12 children), four (4) staff, and the Site Director present, which is compliant with the facility license capacity and ratio requirements. LPA observed all required postings near the entrance to the facility and the hours of operation for the facility are Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM.
LPAs reviewed sign-in/out sheets, facility roster (LIC9040), and fire/disaster drill log and observed the last drill was conducted on 1/20/2023, which is compliant with the six-month requirement for facilities. LPA observed a two (2) fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguishers (last serviced: 3/2023), functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. There are children in care who require Incidental Medical Services and LPA's observed medication is properly stored out of reach of children with the proper documentation.
