32 | Care and Supervision: There are ample age-appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. Licensee uses talking with the child as forms of discipline. Licensee understands that children's personal rights should not be violated, including but not limited to, no corporal punishment, interference with eating, intimidation, or other actions of a punitive nature. Children are treated with dignity, receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations.
Records: Entrance checklist for Family Child Care Home was provided and licensee was reminded of documents to be posted in a prominent, publicly accessible area of the facility. The Licensees CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires 7/14/25. Licensees Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Providers is current and expires 6/30/25. Licensees was reminded of Mandated Reporter Training (AB1207) and CPR/First aid certifications needs to be renewed every two years. A copy of the licensees’ immunization is on file.
Documentation of fire and disaster drills was missing. LPA reminded that fire and disaster drills shall be conducted and documented at least every six months. Licensee Patty stated that they do not carry liability insurance for the daycare. LPA reminded to give enrolled families Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance (LIC 282). A copy of the facility roster was viewed and a copy was obtained. LPA reminded that each family child care home shall have a current roster of children.
LPA reviewed one (1) child’s file during today's inspection for the following records: Notification of Parents Rights (LIC995A), Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment (LIC627), Identification and Emergency Information (LIC700), and Immunization records. LIC 700 and LIC 627 were missing. Child’s immunization record needs updating.
