32 | Off limit areas inside the home are: three bedrooms, living room (previously a garage) located on the left side of the home. There is a door to prevent access to the home. LPA observed two barricaded wall heaters. LPA observed that the home is clean and orderly. Cleaning products, sharp objects, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible to children. LPA observed sufficient age-appropriate materials, toys, and play equipment in the home. The children's bathroom is clean, sanitary, and operable. The home has a working telephone and provided her cell number today (831) 740-7549. Off limit areas outdoor: left fenced area. No bodies of water were observed.
LPA reviewed seven(6) children’s files during today's inspection for the following records: Notification of Parents Rights (LIC995A), Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment (LIC627), Identification and Emergency Information (LIC700), Individual Infant Sleeping Plan (LIC 9227), and Immunization Records. Licensee carries day-care insurance.
LPA reviewed Licensee's file and assistant's file. Licensee and assistant have immunization's for measles, pertussis. Declined the influenza vaccine. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training expires on February 18, 2024. Assistants Mandated Reporter Training was completed on May 4, 2023. LPA reminded Licensee that Mandated Reporter Training must be renewed by all staff every 2 years. Licensee and Assistant have current CPR & First Aid.
LPA provided and discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also reminded Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended she registers all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on her purchased equipment.
