LPA was granted access to the home by the Licensee and toured both indoors and outdoors during the inspection. Upon arrival, there were no children, however throughout todays inspection, two day care children arrived. Also present in the home was the Licensee and her minor son, which is compliant with the home license capacity and ratio requirements. The last fire/disaster drill was conducted on 10/11/2022, which is compliant with the six-month requirement for homes. LPA observed a fully charged 1A10BC fire extinguisher, functioning smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. LPA advised the Licensee that a larger fire extinguisher is needed for the family child care home of at least 2A10BC size.
