A visit was made by analyst Behbood to conduct an annual visit. Met Elizabeth Tapia, Site Supervisor. Lorena Gonzalez, Program Director arrived during visit. Present also were 4 children and 3 staff. For a while facility was not providing care for due to funding they got permission to operate on 11/18/2019. Licensee is requesting to the age of children they care for, the age they are requesting now is 6 to 24 months, Nap room toured there are 3 cribs with proper mattress with sheets, cribs are labeled. An undated LIC 200 has been received for the change.
Menu, licenses, Personal Rights, Car Seat Poster & Parent's Rights are all posted.
Staff files were reviewed & They all have their copy of their educational background on file. Several Teachers have current pediatric 1st aid/CPR.
Teacher/infant ratio was met during the visit. A sampling of children's files were reviewed. Files are complete. Needs & Services plans are included in the file.
1st aid supplies are complete. None of the children are on any medication at present time. It is understood If/ when medication is accepted to administer by center all medication must be in their original container accompanied by parent's and physician's permission/direction in addition to the mediation log. Changing tables are within arms reach of a sink, have raised sides & a vinyl pad. Changing tables have spray bottles with disinfectant solution.
Infants have age appropriate toys/equipment including feeding chairs.
Center provides formula and baby food and solid food for older children. The menu for solid food is posted. Kitchen appears clean. There is a trash can with a tight-fitting cover. All infants were visually supervised during the visit.
Infant/toddler playgrounds have rubber matting, grass areas for cushioning and sand box.
Parents sign in their children electronically.
No citation was issued.
