Indoor areas of the home were inspected by the LPA today and observed to be clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. Off-limits areas inside the home include: 2 bedrooms and entire second story. There is a fireplace located in the living room that is barricaded and safe for the children. The Licensee understands that she cannot use the fireplace during day care hours. During today's inspection, LPA observed children engaged in various activities such as puzzles, play-doh, circle time, and eating breakfast. LPA observed sufficient age-appropriate materials, toys, and play equipment in the home. Drinking water is readily available for children via filtered water dispensers and water bottles from home. The bathroom in the home is clean, sanitary, and operable. The Licensee has a working telephone in the facility. Stairs are barricaded appropriately to keep day care children safe. The Licensee states that she provides and prepares all food for the children through Community Bridges Food program and offers breakfast, lunch, and AM/PM snack.
The outside areas of the home were inspected and LPA observed the Licensee utilizes the front and backyard for day care use. There is sufficient play-equipment and supplies for the children that are in good condition and age-appropriate. Off-limit areas outside of home include: detached studio unit and left sideyard. The Licensee has a hot tub that is located in an off-limits area behind a gated fence that is inaccessible to children. During todays inspection, LPA observed various outdoor activities for the children such as bicycles, wooden two-story play house, covered sandbox, art/painting supplies, and play structure.
The Licensee states that she typically only enrolls children who are two years old and older, however may consider younger children of siblings in care. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA additionally provided the Licensee with PIN 20-24-CCP. |
