32 | Indoor areas of the home were inspected by the LPAs and observed to be clean, orderly, and safe for the day care children. Off-limits inside the home include: master bedroom, two (2) bedrooms, patio, and kitchen. There are no open-faced heaters in the home. LPA observed sufficient age-appropriate materials, toys, and play equipment in the home. The Licensee states that she works with Go Kids and Community Bridges Food Program. All food is prepared by the day care home and children are provided AM snack, lunch, and dinner. The bathroom in the home is clean, sanitary, and operable. There is a working telephone in the home.
The outside area of the home was inspected and observed to be fenced in. LPAs observed sufficient play-equipment and supplies for the children that are in good condition and age-appropriate. A baby walker and children's play strollers were observed outside and LPA's advised that they should not be accessible by children during the hours the home is in operation. Off-limits outside of home include: detached garage, side yard, and backyard. No outdoor bodies of water were observed during todays inspection.
One child’s file and the Licensee's file were reviewed during todays inspection and all required documents were present. The Licensee states that she is currently an active instructor for pediatric CPR/First-Aid and LPAs observed that her instructor license is current through 5/7/2023. The Licensee has current CPR/First-Aid that expires 1/28/2025 and Mandated Reporter Training that expires on 4/13/2023. LPAs reminded that Mandated Reporter training must be renewed every 2 years.
The Licensee states that she does not transport any day care children, she walks school-age children from the elementary school nearby. LPAs reminded Licensee that children should not be left unattended in parked vehicles and that car seats shall only be used for transportation and shall not be used for sleeping.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee, Sandra De La Torre.
As a result of todays inspection, no deficiencies were cited.
