32 | Facility is not clean
Interviews with 2 out of 2 staff on 1/27/21 & 1/28/21, indicated that they clean multiple times a day and that anywhere the children go, it’s clean. Interviews with 1 out of 1 children on 1/29/21, indicated that C1 has recently observed the dog and cats poop on the daycare floor and indicated staff don’t always clean it up right away. Interviews with 8 out of 8 witness on 1/19; 1/27 and 2/11/21 confirmed not going into the day care room since COVID started but they are at the door and can see inside. The witness interviews claimed to have observed animals’ feces in the front yard area but not inside the day care room, other then W8 who claims to have seen feces on the day care floor during a visit to the facility on 1/15/21.
The LPA contacted the licensee for a facility tele visit tour on the during the morning of 1/21/21, the licensee indicated she was not available for 24 hours until noon of 1/22/21. During the tele visit, the facility appeared clean and orderly and no animal feces were observed on the floors. The licensee provided follow up photos. The LPA has determined that though on occasion, animal feces may have appeared on the floor, it could not be confirmed that it happened frequently, nor that it was not dealt with timely.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days.
