32 | Facility Is not free from odors
Interviews with 2 out of 2 staff on 1/27/21 & 1/28/21, indicated that they clean daily and that staff are pretty good at keeping the cat litter box clean. Staff do acknowledge that the dog, cats go inside and that rabbits and chicken (in cages) are brought inside for overnight hours. Interviews with 1 out of 1 children on 1/29/21, indicated that C1 has recently observed the dog and cats poop on the daycare floor and indicated staff don’t always clean it up right away which can results in odors. Interviews with 8 out of 8 witness on 1/19; 1/27 and 2/11/21 indicated that they have witnessed animals in the home. Witness interviews with W1; W2 and W10 confirmed smelling cat urine during pickups/drop offs in the day care room.
The LPA has determined thru interviews that animal odors have been present at the facility.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated.
