25 | On 09/16/22 at 10:00 a.m., an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), N. Cunningham. At 10:30 p.m. the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistant were supervising nine children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday and 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the master bedroom and garage, and were made inaccessible by door knob cover and door latch. The children use the back yard for the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard. In the past the licensee had an above ground pool on the property and may install a new above ground in the future. LPA observed fencing that meets regulation when a body of water is present.
Ten children's records were reviewed at 11:00 a.m., and two staff records were reviewed at 11:15 a.m.
There are currently two adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
