An unannounced complaint investigation inspection was conducted at the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Wisehart. It has been alleged that the facility staff pushed a child in care. LPA met with Director Stephanie Horst and conducted children interviews along with one staff interview. . During today's inspection It was observed that 18 children were being supervised by 3 staff, which is within ratio

Facility staff pushed day care child in care

It was alleged that staff (S1) placed a hand on child (C1)'s head and pushed the child down hard. The staff interviews (S1-S7) conducted on 11/22/19 and 12/12/19, all denied being involved with any pushing incidents or observing any such incidents happen at the day care program. Interviews with witnesses (W1-W6) on 11/22/19; 12/2/19; 12/3/19, indicated no concerns with the staffs interactions with the children or pushing concerns. Witness (W1) did indicate that the child (C1) has a history of exaggerating a situation. Interviews with children (C1-C5) on 12/3/19 and 12/12/19 all confirmed that the staff don't touch them in inappropriate ways, such as pushing, other than C1 who indicated while the class was sitting, the staff put a hand on his head and pushed the child down.

Based on available information, the allegations could neither be proved nor disproved; therefore the above allegations are unsubstantiated (inconclusive) at this time.

There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today’s visit. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today’s date.
