25 | On 09/15/22 at 10:30am, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Snow and N. Cunningham. The facility operates Monday–Friday 7am-6pm. The facility was toured at 11:00am inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. The licensee and four staff were supervising 14 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises. The licensee reported that children have not been using the outdoor activity space due to the extreme heat. LPA will return on another date to inspect the outdoor play area and review staff files.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
