On 3/9/2022 an announced pre-licensing inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Bianca Mendez and Licensing Program Manager (LPM), Megan Aviles in response to a change of location application received on 3/8/22 for Great Adventures preschool. Great Adventures will temporary relocate to this site due to extensive damage that occurred at the licensed facility on 3/3/22. Child care will be provided at Anderson Community Church located at 2364 Balls Ferry Rd. in Anderson, CA. A fire clearance was requested on 3/4/22 and approved on 3/5/22 for 24 children.

LPA and LPM met with Director, Patricia Roberts who stated care will be provided from 6:30am to 6:30pm in classrooms #1, #2, #3 and #4 Monday- Friday. Room The indoor and outdoor space is sufficient for the capacity requested.

The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch will be verified. Both indoor and outdoor play equipment is in good repair and age appropriate. Drinking water will be available to children by way of personalized cups and water pitchers.

The bathrooms are located outside the classrooms. Children will need to be escorted to and from the bathroom by staff while maintaining staff/child ratios. There are 3 toilets and 2 sinks available for children to use. Staff have their own designated bathroom that will remain locked and inaccessible to children in care. The Director understands that constant supervision must be provided at all times indoors, while children are escorted to the restroom and while children play outdoors.

Food will be prepared in the facility kitchen. The kitchen will remain inaccessible while children are in care.
