25 | On 7/13/23 at 11:10 AM, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Helton. At 11:50 AM the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistant were supervising 11 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home is a bathroom , and were made inaccessible by baby door knob covers. The children use a converted garage with a bathroom most of the time. The children use the back yard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard. 5 children's records were reviewed at 11:30 AM. 2 staff records were reviewed at 11:15 AM.
There are currently 3 adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The following deficiencies were cited Type B citation for past due mandated reporter training for the licensee and assistant. (see LIC 809D):
