13 | On 03/12/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kiriko Lynch conducted a closing complaint investigation and met with the Director. The closing complaint investigation was conducted via tele-inspection due to the current state of emergency regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. It was alleged the child care children are exposed to chemical cleaning compound. The Director was interviewed on 09/17/20, and denied the allegation. Director stated the facility staff use cleaning compounds on the approved EPA N-list for Covid-19 mitigation and prevention purposes, and provided documentation regarding the cleaning products and staff training procedures regarding it's usage at the facility. Three staff were interviewed on 03/11/21, and stated they obtained professional training regarding the proper use of the cleaning products, and also never use the products while children are inside the facility rooms. Three parents/guardians whose children attended the facility around the time of the reported allegation were interviewed on 03/10/21 and 03/11/21, and there were no disclosures corroborating the allegation. LPA also conducted a tour of the facility and observed cleaning compound supply station. Based on interviews, observations, and records review, LPA did not find a preponderance of evidence to corroborate the allegation. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the finding is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and appeal rights were provided. |
