25 | A required annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Elpidia Hernandez Torres. A review of staff records on 02/23/2022 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. There are currently two adults living in the home.
During today’s inspection the home and grounds were toured. The licensee was supervising six children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. No children were observed left in any parked vehicle. The facility’s operating hours are 07:30AM to 03:30PM, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the entire second floor, the living room, part of the back yard and were made inaccessible by child safety gates, door locking mechanisms, door knob slip covers and fences. The home was clean and orderly, and was at a comfortable indoor temperature. There were safe toys and equipment available for children. There is a working telephone in the home. The licensee has current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, which expire on 09/2023. Licensee's AB 1207 Mandated certificate was dated 02/2019 and expired on 02/2021. Licensee wasn't able to produce an updated certificate as such Advisory note was issued. Items which could pose a danger to children (detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, etc.) were stored out of the reach of children. Poisons are locked with a key lock in a shed. The staircase is barricaded with safety gate. There is a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher, rated at least 2A10BC, in the home. The licensee stated there are no firearms and/or other dangerous weapons in the home, and none were observed during today's inspection. The children use the back yard/front yard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard. Six children's records were reviewed at 11:16AM; required emergency information was observed to be on file. Two or more children did not have their immunization transcribed on blue PM 286 document, and Advisory note was issued. Licensee was not able to produce copy of sleep log for infant in care, advisory note was issued. Continued on 809-C |
