25 | On 4/17/2023 at 2:30pm, a Required-1 Year inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. At 2:40pm the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and her assistant were supervising nine children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 6:30am-5:30pm, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and updated during today's inspection. The off-limits areas of the home are the garage, front bedroom, master bedroom and master bath, and were made inaccessible by locks. The children use the nearby park as their outdoor play area. The licensee understands that constant visual supervision is required while at the park.
There is an in-ground pool in the back yard. The pool is fully fenced with mesh and dog ear wood fence. The licensee has a waiver on file for window locks and alarms and to allow the gate to swing towards the pool, and the terms of the waiver are being met.
Five children's records were reviewed at 3:03pm. Two staff records were reviewed at 3:30pm. There are currently two adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
