On 3/9/2023 at 9:40am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez made a Required-1 Year inspection to the facility in conjunction with the licensee's request for an increase in capacity for 40. The preschool is located in Portables 11 and 12 (P11) (P12) at Tremont Elementary School. The licensee is requesting to add P12 to accommodate the increase in capacity. P11 operates year-round 8:30am-11:30am; Monday-Friday. P12 will operate year round 7:00am-6:00pm; Monday-Friday. The facility was toured at 10:40am inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 40 children. There are 3 toilets and 5 sinks available for children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 40.

Two teachers were supervising 8 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises.

Five children's records were reviewed at 11:15pm, Five staff records were reviewed at 12:05am.

Teacher Dottie Skinner was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
