On 5/22/2023 at 12:55pm, a Required - 1 Year inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. The infant program operates 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday–Friday. The Pink classroom, (ages 0-1) and Orange classroom (ages 1-2) were toured at 3:15pm inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. Six teachers were supervising 14 infants, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises. The outdoor activity space was cushioned with grass and free of hazards.

Five children's records were reviewed at 1:40pm. Five staff records were reviewed at 2:15pm.

The facility Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with the facility Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page at:https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed the facility Director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at: https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
