13 | On October 4, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) J. Helton conducted an unannounced complaint inspection and met with director Lisa Erlandsson-Ward. It was alleged that staff did not adequately supervise day care children. The allegation suggests that due to lack of supervision, children were acting out and one child (C1) was being held responsible.
The director was interviewed at 1:35 PM and denied the allegation, stating they are never out of ratio and the teachers provide adequate supervision to the children in care. C1 was on probation for 30 days and has since been dis-enrolled from the center.
Between the dates of October 19, 2022 and November 2, 2022, 7 parent/clients (P1-P7) were contacted for interview; 6 interviews were completed. (P1-P5, and P7) all stated they had no concerns regarding inadequate supervision of the children in care. P1 stated there was previous issues that involved a specific child and due to recent events, it is no longer a concern. P1 stated there are some concerns regarding the handling of issues that arise between children. Continued on LIC9099C
