32 | While some statements did not note any concerns, other adult statements reported that LS was out of the facility often, but she was always within five minutes from the facility, and/or that LS’s attendance rate at the facility was between forty to fifty percent. Four licensed facilities with different Licensees and addresses are listed under the LS’s Baby MacBean website which operate in a similar manner and teaching curriculum. LS is listed on the website as site supervisor of these facilities.
LS denied the allegation, claiming she was at her own facility ninety percent of the time, and only left the facility to run errands or to conduct scheduled parent tours at other Baby MacBean licensed facilities. LS claimed she did not conduct the tours often, and a tour may last up to one and a half hours. LS felt she was not gone for an excessive amount of time. Staff statements were consistent with one another, which did not report any concerns, but according to some staff, they were uncertain how often LS left the facility to run errand(s) and/or conduct scheduled parent tours. Multiple staff reported when LS was out of the facility, she was not gone for more than one hour, but felt that LS had not left the facility too often and was at the facility at least eighty percent of the time.
Statements provided by children and parents did not reveal any concerns about LS not spending enough time at the facility. Four out of six parents reported that during their visit(s) at drop off and/or pick up time, they witnessed just a handful of times when LS was not at the facility, but that the facility was adequately staff. Parent statements also confirmed that prior to enrolling their child(ren), parents toured other Baby MacBean licensed facilities with LS, sometimes all four facilities were toured, which lasted between ten minutes to half hour for each facility.
Based on the LPA’s investigation, multiple statements reported LS was spending at least eighty percent of her time at the facility, while other statements noted that LS was out of the facility often, and/or LS’s attendance rate at the facility was between forty to fifty percent. There was not enough evidence to support or corroborate the allegation, and therefore, the above allegation is found to be unsubstantiated. LS’s signature was not recorded on this Complaint Investigation Report (CIR), however; LS was provided with a copy of this CIR, and LS’s confirmation of read receipt is on file. LPA conducted an exit interview with LS. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days. There is no Title 22 deficiency cited during today’s inspection. Appeal Rights were provided. |
