25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melchisedeck Augustin made an unannounced follow up inspection at the facility, in response to an allegation of lack of supervision at the facility. The allegation specified that a four-year-old child was left alone to supervise a day care child. During today's inspection, LPA met with Licensee Erika Silva and LPA discussed the purpose of the inspection with the Licensee. LPA conducted interviews with Licensee, staff and parent at 12:42pm, and the Licensee claimed she is having never left a four-year-old child alone to supervise the day care children. Licensee claimed in a situation where she would need to be away from the facility, there is always a staff member present and the Licensee felt that she is being falsely accused. LPA observed six-day care children napping in the playroom and the children were not available to interview. LPA requested and obtained a facility roster of the children currently in care and reviewed staff records. LPA reviewed CCR 102417(a) and the Licensee is aware; and acknowledges that the Licensee shall be present in the home and shall ensure that children in care are supervised. Interviews the Licensee, staff and parent did not provide any corroborating evidence to support that the Licensee left a four-year-old child alone to supervise a day care child.
This report was discussed and reviewed with the Licensee. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's inspection. There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today's inspection. |
