Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melchisedeck Augustin made an unannounced inspection at the facility. The Licensee requested for the facility garage to be added as on limits area and the Licensee plans to utilize the garage as additional play space for the children. During today's inspection, LPA met with Licensee Sindy Lafages and LPA discussed the purpose of the inspection with the Licensee. LPA inspected the facility garage. The garage has a water heater that is screen with a wooden barrier and cleaning compounds were made inaccessible. The garage has three steps that leads into the home and a door at the entrance that can be utilized to barricade the steps. LPA informed the Licensee that the steps must be barricaded either by the door or a child safety gate. The Licensee stated she plans to open the garage door when the children are utilizing the garage for additional play space. LPA had a conversation with the Licensee about the importance of providing constant supervision when the children are utilizing the garage and the garage door is open. LPA discussed the facility open garage door does not allow the play space to be completely enclosed and the open garage door will allow for access to the public street. The Licensee stated she understands and acknowledges that constant supervision must be provided at all times whenever the garage door will be open, and whenever children are utilizing the garage for additional play space. LPA informed the Licensee she will need add the facility garage as an on limits area on the facility sketch and the Licensee will submit an updated facility sketch reflecting the additional space as an on limits area.

This report was reviewed and discussed with the Licensee. Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's inspection. There were no Title 22 deficiency cited during today's inspection.
