25 | An announced case-management consultation visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Y. Yang at the request of the applicant, Penny Bowers to inspect the facility and provide consultation regarding Title 22 regulations and to answer questions regarding child care center application documents that were submitted to Community Care Licensing on 07/22/19.
During today's consultation inspection, LPA met with applicant Penny Bowers and center director Alexandra Bowers. LPA toured the facility and made observations and provided recommendations on best practices and the requirements of Title 22 Regulations. The applicant is requesting a capacity for 90 preschool age children. The inside of the center is currently not furnished as there is still ongoing construction inside the building. LPA reminded the applicant that the actual approved capacity may change once furniture and other items are added to the classroom. The applicant informed LPA that the Fire Marshal required that fire sprinklers be installed throughout the building before a fire clearance is granted. LPA observed that parts of the ceiling were gutted in anticipation for the sprinkler install. LPA also observed that parts of the concrete slab floor were excavated due to plumbing work. LPA observed that the facility's proposed outdoor play area was not fenced. The applicant stated that fencing that meets Title 22 regulations will be installed on the exterior playground. The applicant stated that she anticipates that the interior and exterior construction will be completed and a fire clearance will be obtained within 30 days.
This report was read and reviewed with the applicant. |
