25 | LPA Mendez and LPA Marks conducted an announced visit with Director Lauren Hylton of Markham Elementary State Preschool. The purpose of the visit was to approve a new classroom that would replace an existing classroom that would no longer be used. The dimensions of the room were measured and it was verified that the measurements were the same as the facility sketch. The previous sketch was compared to the newest sketch with the same measurements.The classroom was measured for 24 children.
The director stated poisons will be stored on site with the janitorial service. There is a working smoke detector/sprinkler system and fire extinguishers in the facility. A carbon monoxide detector is working an the classroom. Items that could pose a danger to children (cleaning compounds, medication, etc) will be inaccessible. There is a refrigerator in the classroom to hold snacks and prepped food. There were no hazards observed in the classrooms. The director stated no firearms or ammunition will be stored on site and none were observed.
LPA Mendez and LPA Marks observed the new playground which is larger in size facility sketch was received and shows that the new play area was expanded from previous play area and approved for 115 children.
Any changes made by LPA Mendez, LPA Mendez will notify director. |
