25 | A case management inspection visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amy Strother at the request of Executive Director, Norma Ott (D1). The purpose of today’s inspection is to inspect and approve a previously designated off-limits outdoor space for child care use. D1 notified the department that the facility wished to add an outdoor picnic area at the front of the school for the purpose of conducting learning activities, and meal times, as a means of children remaining outdoors for a larger periods of time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The picnic area has been added to the facility sketch, form LIC999. LPA toured and inspected the picnic area and did not observe any hazards. The entire perimeter of the facility remains enclosed with a 6 foot fence, with the picnic area enclosed within the perimeter with a low fence and gate. The picnic area included two picnic tables with benches. D1 stated that she understands that the children must be escorted to the picnic area by qualified teachers and supervised at all times. LPA discussed using head counts during transitions from indoors to outdoors and visa versa to ensure all children are accounted for and supervised. The picnic area has been approved for use during day care hours. During today's inspection, staffing ratios were being met, and 24 children were being supervised by 5 teachers. This facility serves up to 40 children in a morning program from 9:00am - 12:00pm and up to 40 children in an afternoon program 12:30 - 3:30pm.
There were no Title 22 deficiencies observed during today’s inspection. Notice of Site Visit shall be post for 30 days.
