A case management inspection was conducted at the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Y. Yang in response to an increase of capacity application received by the Department on 08/15/19. The licensee is requesting an increase in the school-age capacity from 60 to 96 children. Operating hours are 07:00am-08:30am and 12:45-06:00pm, Monday-Friday during the school year and 07:00am-06:00pm, Monday-Friday during the summer months. This school age facility is located on the Brooks Elementary School campus. Classroom and playground measurements were not taken as this school-age child care program meets the requirements of Health and Safety Code Section 1596.806.

The licensee also requests approval to add an additional classroom to the facility license. The licensee requests approval to use classroom #27. LPA inspected classroom #27 and approved the classroom for childcare use. There have been no changes to the previously approved floor plan of classroom A and classroom B or outdoor yard plan The multi-purpose room is approved for use as needed .

During today's visit, there were no school-age children in care. The facility was toured and inspected. No deficiencies were observed. The capacity increase for 96 school-age children and the addition of classroom #27 is granted contingent upon approval from the Fire Marshal.

This report was reviewed and discussed with the executive director. All licensing reports are public information and must be made available upon request for at least three years.
