25 | An annual required inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Y. Yang. The facility file was reviewed prior to this inspection. A review of the personnel report on 11/02/22 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. The center director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

There is drinking water available to children both indoors in the classrooms and outdoors on the playground. The children’s bathrooms are located on the elementary school's grounds and were in sanitary condition with adequate privacy offered to the children. Food prep areas are clean. Food is properly stored and free of contamination. Snacks are provided by the center and a hot meal is provided once a week by the center. The menu was posted by the main entrance. Garbage cans containing solid waste were in good repair and had tight fitting lids. The playground was free of hazards. There is wood chip cushioning in the playground underneath climbing structures. There were no bodies of water observed. The site supervisor stated no weapons or poisons are stored on site. During today's inspection, staffing ratios were being met and there were 24 children being supervised by 2 staff members. The facility was operating within the licensed capacity. At least one staff member present during the visit possessed current CPR and First Aid certifications. The sign in/out sheet was reviewed and was in compliance with regulations.
