25 | A case management visit was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Y. Yang to inspect modifications made to the facility’s outdoor play area. During the annual inspection visit to the facility on 10/01/24, the LPA observed that the area at the base of the slide on the primary play structure needed additional wood chips or other cushioning material. Sufficient wood chip cushioning was observed underneath the other areas of the play structure. The LPA also observed that there were several wooden planks on a section of the playground’s perimeter fence that required replacement or repair due to dry rot. The LPA’s observations were reported to the license/ center director Debbie Deas who stated that she would address the areas of concern. During today’s follow up visit, the LPA toured the center’s outdoor play area and observed that the licensee made corrections to the noted areas. The LPA observed that additional wood chip cushioning material was added to the playground and a new section of wooden fencing was built to replace the existing section damaged by dry rot.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the lead teacher, Tabatha Deas. There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today's inspection. |
