During today's inspection, staffing ratios were being met, 11 children were being supervised by one teacher and D1. The facility was operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. At least one staff member present during the inspection possessed current CPR and First Aid certifications, which expires 03/2023. Five children’s record, Child 1 - Child 5 (C1-C5) were reviewed. A review of children's records for children C1-C5 indicates that 3 out of 5 children (C1, C2 and C5) do not have the required LIC701 Physician's Report on file as required, all other records required were on file. One staff record was reviewed and contained the required documents.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following violation of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22; Division 12, were observed: see LIC 809D. Appeal Rights were provided.
Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
