25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brannon met with Concha Alvarez, Executive Director. Licensee is decreasing their preschool capacity from 60 to 40.
LPA inspected facility, took inside and outside measurements. Concha Alvarez accompanied LPA while taking measurements.
There are two classrooms utilized by preschool children. Classroom 1 has a pony wall, dividing the two classrooms. Licensee is providing toilet training in classroom 1. There is a changing table with a sink within arms reach. There are a total of three sinks and four toilets.
The approximate inside square footage is 1509, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 40 preschool children. The approximate outside square footage is 10660, which will accommodate the requested capacity of 40 preschool children. At this time, licensee is utilizing an igloo with disposable cups for children's inside and outside drinking water.
Licensee has two climbing structures, with the age stickers reflecting 2 to 5 years old. Licensee is using the rubber pour in place for cushioning. Shade is being provided by mature trees and two shade structures.
The following need to be corrected. Licensee will email pictures showing correction:
1) A disposable cup dispenser is required for drinking water.
2) Cubbies are to be anchored to prevent tipping.
A final review and receipt of correction of the above items, the new license will reflect the decrease of the preschool capacity from 60 to 40 preschool children.
No deficiencies cited during today's visit.
