On 2/11/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brandon Tate conducted an Annual Random inspection for the preschool license. Upon arrival, LPA Tate was met by Site Supervisor Calletana Felix. LPA Tate introduced himself and explained the reason for today’s visit. The licensed facility was inspected inside and outside. Guardian background clearances were verified and discussed with Director Felix. Record review showed a current fire clearance. A census was taken of 61 children present. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1600 hours.

LPA Tate inspected the licensed facility’s indoor activity spaces of classrooms 3,5,6,10, and 11A. All required posted forms were in a prominent area to parents. All posted forms were complete and up to date except for the LIC 610 which did not contain any temporary relocation sites for the staff and children in the chance of an emergency occurring on site. Director Felix updated the LIC 610 and included a temporary location site. LPA Tate observed age-appropriate toys for children in care. The facility was maintained to regulatory standard cleanliness and LPA Tate did not observe any hazards or sharp objects that could potentially harm children in care. LPA Tate observed sufficient cubby space for children and personal belongings were kept separate. There was a functioning carbon monoxide alarm and fire extinguisher within each indoor activity space. LPA Tate observed drinking water accessible to children and record review showed that lead testing has been conducted for the licensed facility. The child sign in/out form was correctly filled out with all relevant information.

LPA Tate inspected the restroom and observed the restroom to be clean and sanitized. There were functioning sinks and toilets within that were temperature compliant with California Code of Regulations. LPA Tate observed sufficient toilet and sink ratio for children in care. LPA Tate did not observe any hazards that could potentially harm children in care.

The outdoor activity area was inspected by LPA Tate and age-appropriate play structures were observed during today’s inspection. The outdoor play area was fenced and at least 4 feet in height. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Play structures were free from debris and contained sufficient padding underneath the swings and play structure. There were no sharp or protruding objects observed. All play equipment was functional and contained no rust. Water is made available to children outside via a water jug and disposable cups. All outside trash bins contained tight fitting trash bags and there were no rodents in or around trash bins.
