25 | On 11/21/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA Vega-Gonzalez met with Interim Preschool Director, Jennifer Renteria. The Purpose of today's inspection is to conduct a Case Management Inspection regarding a lead exceedance referred to, as an Action Level Exceedance (ALE) of over 5.5 parts per billion (ppb) in the water at this facility.
Fresno Regional Office received notification of water lead exceedance at the facility on 11/16/2022, resulting from a recent water lead sampling test that was conducted on 10/22/2022. Based on records reviewed from Enthalpy Analytical Water Association and discussions with Jennifer Renteria it has been determined there is an Action Level Exceedance to outlets “C-Sink Faucet_Puppies” and “D-Sink Faucet_Kitchen”, as labeled on LIC 999 Facility Sketch Floor Plan of facility.
LPA Vega-Gonzalez inspected Outlet “C” and it was observed to be a sink located in Nursery Room named Puppies that was impacted with a test result of 8.6 ppb (ALE) of lead. LPA observed that, Jennifer Renteria had turned outlet off and had no running water in Outlet “C” during inspection. LPA Vega-Gonzalez inspected Outlet-D and it was observed to be a sink located in the Kitchen that was impacted with a test result of 7.5 ppb (ALE) of lead. LPA observed that Outlet “D” was turned off and had no running water during inspection. Jennifer Renteria stated to LPA that all children in care bring their own water bottles, and that water bottles are refilled in Outlet labeled “L” located in the Monkeys room that had an Action Level less than 5 ppb. Jennifer Renteria also stated that all bottles, dishes, and food preparation are washed/done in Outlet “L”. LPA observed a water bottle fill station and water fountains labeled as Oulet "B" in play yard. Jennifer Renteria stated that due to cold weather the fountains are turned off, but are used during the warmer months. LPA observed that there is no running water in Outlet "B".
