LPAs toured the facility and a census was taken. An Unusual Incident Report was submitted to the Fresno Community Care Licensing Office (CCL) regarding an incident that occurred on 9/14/2023 where children #1 and #2 were playing “the wiener game” behind the climbing wall.
Staff took precaution when discussing concerns around proper play and utilized the event to reiterate the importance of keeping hands to their selves. Staff redirected the children to join the other group of children and play a new game. Site supervisor had a meeting with staff and management distributed a memo to all employees regarding the incident. Staff is aware that there is a blind spot. Per site supervisor staff have been directed to reposition themselves and move around to have clear site of all play areas. Site supervisor will also be putting a mirror on the back wall to assist with blind spots.
This was an isolated event and the facility took appropriate measures to address the incident, followed appropriate policies, regulations, and reporting requirements. No deficiencies were cited during this inspection.
An exit interview was conducted and a report was provided to Site Supervisor, Juan Vasquez-Espitia.
