25 | An unannounced required inspection is made today by LPA Claudia Henley. Met with Site Supervisor Maria Sida. A tour of the infant/toddler area conducted. Infant furniture and equipment, including cribs, cots/mats, diaper changing table and feeding chairs are sufficient, age appropriate and in good repair. All infants including those napping in cribs are under visual observation at all times. Feeding plans reviewed for some infants. Adequate amount of formula and infant/toddler food is observed today. Sign in/Sign out sheets have full legal signature and record of time of day. Children are referred and transported to and from this facility by various social services and law enforcement agencies throughout Stanislaus County, parents also self refer their children. Children are never present at this facility for 24 hours. The facility is open on weekends and holidays only as needed for crisis situations. Firearms and ammunition are not on the premises. Disinfectants, hazardous items are inaccessible to children and properly stored. No medication being given. Fire/disaster drill was conducted within the last 6 months. Furniture and equipment are sufficient, age appropriate and in good repair. The infant/toddler playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition. No excluded individuals are present. Staff subject to a criminal record clearance or exemption are associated to the facility. First Aid/CPR reviewed and in compliance. Four infant files were reviewed, along with the Needs and Service Plans. Staff records reviewed. Staff utilized as infant teachers have three child development units in infant/toddler care. Staff are current on online child abuse mandated reporter training and have record of immunizations.
No deficiencies were cited during the inspection today.
