13 | On March 12, 2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marquez conducted a complaint inspection and met with Licensee/Director Shannon Basford. LPA took a census and discussed the above allegations with Director Basford.
During the 2/12/2020 unannounced inspection, LPA Marquez observed 21 children napping on mats, with blankets, on the center's floor. Eight of the 21 mats were touching together, including blankets, not allowing children or teacher walking access in between the mats.
Based on information received during interviews conducted with Staff, children and the complainant, water is not brought outside to children when they play outside. A 3 gallon water jug is left inside near the front entrance while children play outside. There also appears to be miscommunication among the children in regards to their availability of water throughout the day.
Based on the information obtained during the investigation, there is a preponderance of evidence to prove the above the allegations are substantiated.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, the following deficiencies were found. (see the attached) LIC9099-D.
A copy of Licensee's Appeal Rights was provided to Shannon Basford today. |
