Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Claudia Henley conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection #3. LPA met with Rebecca Garcia, Office Manager/Teacher. Licensee/Director Amanda Simoni was not present during today's inspection. Tour of the facility was conducted. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. Neither firearms/weapons nor poisons are allowed or stored on the premises. No bodies of water. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other dangerous items are inaccessible to children. All toilet and sinks are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Children bring their own lunches. Licensee provides a.m. and p.m. snack. All kitchen, food prep, and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. All food is protected from contamination, and contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage vessels, including moveable bins, have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. LPA verified that all employees are background cleared and associated to this facility. Staff files were reviewed. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric first-aid is present at the facility or at off-site activities. Sign in/sign out sheets were reviewed. Medication is given at this facility. There were inhalers and Epi-Pens on the premises. There is an Incidental Medical Services Plan on file with the department. Children's files were reviewed. This preschool operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

No deficiencies were cited during the inspection today. Site Visit Notice posted on the parent board. Exit interview was conducted.
