13 | On 02/15/2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Roman Iglesias and Cynthia Brannon, conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to provide findings for the above allegations. LPAs met with Site Supervisor, Rebecca Garcia, who accompanied LPAs during the indoor/outdoor tour of the facility. LPAs took a census and discussed the allegations.
During the course of the investigation, LPA interviewed staff and made observations. On 12/08/2021, during a tour of the facility, LPA Iglesias observed staff not wearing appropriate face coverings while indoors. LPA also noticed that children two years of age or older, were not wearing face coverings while indoors. Ms. Garcia stated the children's parents opposed to the mask mandate, which was the reason why children were not wearing masks. As of June 11, 2021, the use of face coverings is required by CDPH and Cal OSHA that regardless of vaccination status, face masks are to be worn in childcare indoor settings. This applies to staff, parents, vendors and adults who enter the facility.
