25 | On 11/15/2021 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Roman Iglesias, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Tami Fyvie, as well as staff #1 (S1). Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
LPA toured the home inside/outside and a census was taken. LPA also reviewed the most current facility sketch and Licensee confirmed the living room, the kitchen, the hallway bathroom, the dining room, and family room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of child safety gate and child safety doorknobs. Swimming pool is fenced per regulation. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. Additionally, the backyard where the pool is located, is not accessible to children. Licensee stated she uses the neighborhood park down the street to play. Licensee was reminded that children must be visually 100% supervised when outside to the park. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication, and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The electric fireplace located in the family rooms is made inaccessible by a glass door and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The stairs are fenced or barricaded when children under age 5 years old are present. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (209) 573-1015.
