25 | On 09/19/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeovanna Yanez conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA was greeted by Licensee, Ana Estrada. Present during today's inspection were three children. The purpose of today's inspection was to inspect an in-ground pool with mesh fencing to ensure it meets Title 22 Regulations.
Licensee stated the pool will be used for Licensee's personal use only and will be off-limits for day care children and during day care operating hours when children are present. The pool is located in the backyard outdoor play area. The pool is rectangular and has mesh fencing that completely surrounds the pool, and blocks access into the pool. LPA took measurements of the height of the fence, any openings in the fence and the space between the bottom of the fence and the concrete. The mesh fencing was measured at five (5) feet tall, and is anchored to the ground. LPA observed the mesh fencing was installed on concrete. LPA observed the fence door opens away from the pool and is self-closing and self-latching. The latch is located within the top 6 inches of the pool gate. The mesh fencing meets Title 22 regulations and Division 1, Appendix Chapter 4 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code. Licensee is approved to use the back yard for day care use effective today, 9/19/22.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were observed today.
Exit interview conducted with Licensee, Ana Estrada. A notice of site visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
