25 | "Spanish speaker" Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Diana Martinez and Candis Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection. LPA met with licensee Ana Villa. Also present was husband/assistant Juan Villa. Seven children were present today. LPAs conducted a tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketches (LIC 999A). The accessible rooms are the living room and hall bathroom. The off-limit rooms are made inaccessible with key locks and with a child safety gate placed at kitchen entry. Children are escorted to bathroom in hallway. Safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment were observed. Also observed were safe toys, play equipment, and materials. In the fenced backyard, licensee has four small dogs. Also, multiple chickens are kept in the backyard in an enclosed cage. Licensee is aware of the safety of children around animals. The backyard will remain off-limits to daycare children. There are no bodies of water or firearms in this home. No poisons were observed on the premises. Cleaning compounds, medications and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children. There is no fireplace. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide indicator, and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. There is a working mobile telephone and number was verified. Adequate supervision is being provided during this visit. Children are supervised when outside in the fenced front yard play area. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. A current roster of the children in care is maintained. Licensee maintains documentation of immunizations for the children. Licensee maintains documentation of immunizations against pertussis, measles and influenza for herself and assistant Edelia Vanderpol. Pediatric CPR/First Aid are current with the expiration date of 12/1/2020.
LPA discussed Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy and provided handout Plan for Providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) – FCCH Requirements.
