25 | On February 22, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection, was licensee, licensee’s adult daughter and two day care children. Licensee, her husband, her adult daughter and four minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on July 17, 2022. Licensee’s Assistant, Mayleen Quezada Alvarez has not completed the CPR and First Aid, licensee states that her assistant will not be left alone caring and supervising children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on December 4, 2020.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on January 13, 2021. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- LPA observed child size furniture, safe toys, books, arts and crafts supplies and a rocking chair. There is a parent’s board that is located on the wall in the entry way of the home. Children will nap in the living room on mats and infants will nap in a play yard. There is a diaper changing station for the infants.
- LPA observed a 100 gallon fish tank with a tight fitted lid located in the living room (day care room).
