25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Allison Riggs for a pre-licensing inspection. Present at time of inspection was applicant and Applicant’s Assistant, Nicole McCleskey, who is applicant’s adult daughter. Applicant and husband reside in the home. Verified applicant’s and applicant’s assistant CPR and First Aid certification was completed through America Red Cross and expires on 9/29/2020. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on July 11, 2019.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on July 11, 2019. Fire alarm is located in the right hand side of the hallway wall.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the living room, kitchen, bedroom #2 (day care room), bedroom #3 and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of a key lock.
- There is a fireplace in the in the living room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours.
- LPA observed a parents board in the living room, also observed in bedroom #2; a diaper changing table, children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. Children will nap in bedroom #2 on mats and infants will nap bedroom #3 in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
